When Flint and Tinder Design Director Nick Kemp set out to create the Vintage Sateen Capsule, he didn't start with a mood board. He went straight to archival 1940s U.S. Army uniforms. What came next was a three-piece collection of fatigue shirts, pants, and shorts made from reverse sateen cotton—the same fabric the U.S. Army adopted over herringbone twill when soldiers needed something more durable and comfortable. The reverse sateen is soft against the skin, yet weather-resistant on the outside with a matte finish.
