While the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) was spearheading standardized training protocols in the early ‘60s, Seiko was unveiling essential tech that would help divers reach new depths with safety and precision. It was only a matter of time before the two charted a course for a new era of underwater safety and enjoyment. Designed in 2016 to commemorate their partnership, the Special-Edition Prospex Automatic Dive Watch combines PADI’s official colors and branding on the dial and bezel with Seiko’s renowned titanium casing and in-house automatic caliber 4R36 movement to create a timepiece that echoes the adventurous spirit and reliability that both entities represent. - Seiko’s special-edition automatic diver made to commemorate their partnership with PADI - High-visibility blue dial and bezel showcase PADI’s official colors, branding, and namesake - Equipped with Seiko’s in-house-made automatic caliber 4R36 movement with 24 jewels - Power reserve lasts approximately 41 hours - Rotating, uni-directional 120-click elapsed timing bezel - Hardlex crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface for superior scratch resistance and readability - Bezel includes a double day and date window - LumiBrite hands and indexes for low-light visibility - Screw-down crown provides added security against moisture and dirt - Brushed case and bracelet have polished sides with the crown strategically positioned at 4:00 for increased comfort - Two-push button safety clasp is adjustable by five positions for a secure wear and easy on and off - Water-resistant to 200 meters (660 ft)
